A YOUNG HERRING GULL AT BOSCASTLE

2 Photos of a Young herring gull in Boscastle a small port i passed through last week on my coast walk. This village was the scene of terrific flooding some years ago, thankfully no lives were lost but 60 cars were swept into the harbour by the torrent of water that swept down the valley..Pic 3

IN THE SOUDLEY VALLEY

The top 2 photos are of views from Blase Bailey hill looking back over the soudley valley. This is typical of how the Forest of Dean looks between villages or towns. It was taken on our walk on a grey Thursday afternoon. On this 2 hour walk not much in the way of wildlife about until we came across 4 young bucks two of which are beneath

I will be away all next week in Cornwall,so no post for a few days. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A NICE EASTER

CANADA GOOSE

Another bird that enjoys the golf club ponds a Canada Goose ? with a load of
a load of weed around its leg

RIN TIN TIN

These old barns above Haulks Farm, look like they could be well over 150 years old  and have seen better days, but like all  hard up farmers, any cover will do to keep the rain out.
These pics were taken off a site that was in the 1970's an opencast site, later used by the army to train excavator drivers. Now no longer used ,the site is turning wild and all sorts of wildlife use it.

sheep and cattle roam freely on Cleeve Hill, it make's the golf very interesting but the view
on the top of the hill is one of the best in the county
