FOREST SCULPTURE

I have not had much time of late for photos, what with my involment in a battle with the planners and my impaired vision, but i did grab this one the other day in the forest, its of a stained glass panel, part of a 4 mile trail of sculptures depicting this area called the Forest of Dean.

RUTTING SEASON

While in the forest today, i could hear the calling of the male deer (BUCK) so i thought i would try to get a photo. They were in the middle of a thicket and my attempt at stalking them failed. Light footed i am not!!! and off they ran. Attempt 2 got me to around 50 yards of them and with the Buck crashing around it was hard to get a good view of him.This was the best i could do. Better luck next time.

I had just got home after a 4hr drive to be able to grab these 2 snaps. A good start to september

MAKING MILK

Part of a 650 strong milking herd, on the banks of the River Severn, the building is Oldbury nuclear power station.I had a chat with the stockman the other day,who told me that they have a further 260 cows that are on trial, only being milked once a day not twice like the the herd shown.
