Uptill to day, i had not been close to a wood pecker to take an image. Today driving along Mosleygreen ,i saw a motor biker down off the road ( he had missed the bend) I went back ,found he was all right and helped him get his bike back up on the road, and he went on his way, none the worse for his mishap. As i got to the forest gate to start my walk ,there was the above woodpecker......Moral to the story, one good turn deserve,s another
Spotted on the side of a forest path , two snakes enjoy a bit of warmth from the spring sun
They say it's been a nice day. Ive been working again and not seen any of it till i saw this picture on my way home in the car. I may be able to get out tomorrow.
I have been working all day, so no time to go for a walk with the camera , so i drove to the bridge to try some night time photography. .. um i not sure !
Its been one of those days, i thought it would be bright enough for some good shots. But i was very disappointed with the results,so they went into the bin, bar the bird pic. I know its not very good but is it a DUNNOCK ?

A very foggy day in and around the Forest of Dean, unable to try out a new lens that i've bought
