These birds are not heard too often now ,let alone seen and photographed,so i was very happy to have spotted him.

  4. Hi there - nice picture. It will be a real loss if the voice of this bird is lost from the countryside - I've read that numbers are much lower than when "I was a lad".
    There are such an important marker of the turning of the year.
