this is the only sparrow I've ever seen, apart from blog posts and the varieties of sparrows shown. However, it's not around where I live at all; guess it's the bigger wilder birds that keep them away
Understated bird, we miss the simply good stuff sometimes in favour of rarities, however when my Sparrows return to my eaves to breed, I realise I did miss them....
