I went to Abergavenny on the weekend to watch and film this engine climbing up Llanfihangel bank. It was built in 1949 the same year as me.........But its in far better condition.
I think you are fond of boats and trains ;-). Love the video, where you can see that the train is coming because of all that steam. Visiting from "Through my lens". Greetings, Hilde http://stapjesonderweg.blogspot.be/2015/09/white-city-in-alpujarra.html
A wonderful sight. It's always better to see them going up hill.

DeleteI loved the video. I take it you had the camera on a tripod? it had a lot of carriages so was it a special train put on for the day?
ReplyDeleteYes Margaret, on a tripod.... its trains that people pay £180 for each (food inc) This one ran from Bristol via wales to Cheshire and back
DeleteWOW! £180 That hurt but I am sure it was worth it. Thanks for answering my questions.
DeleteOh nothing like it, beautiful. Thanks Peter for allowing me to watch it.
