  15. Gorgeous Jay, so different from our own, yet all are marked so handsomely. You cannot tell our females from males until after they have begun to nest in Spring...then the female pulls a small patch and if you can see her just right...then you know female ;) I know what you mean about the Dragonflies, difficult to get a location between the sun and the water. I look for flowers and reeds across a walk path near where they are and usually can find them perched in right direction...same with the wee Damselflies~
