Sadly it's a sign of the times Peter, it seems to be the way of things throughout the country now. At least you'll have a great image to look back on and see how beautiful it once was!...[;o)
It's always a big shame and waste when something like this happened. They are building a big highway where I live and sights like these will start to dispear in my neck of the woods soon too.

Unbelievable, Peter. Also in the Netherlands the landscape and nature disappear. In return we get houses and highways. I don't know why. Everywhere in the country are office buildings and houses empty and for sale. And the new highways save us 5 minutes on our trip. Nevertheless a great picture. Greetings, Joke
